Families can get moving!  The holiday season is an excellent time to start a family exercise routine. Children enjoy seeing holiday lights and decorations. Walking around a different street each night offers children an opportunity to observe the illumination of holiday lights and ornamentation of family friendly neighborhoods. Families can implement a nightly 30 minute brisk walk during the holidays season that they can keep as a habit well into the new year. Children look forward to the sparkles and glimmer that adorn the neighborhood during the holidays. Families that walk together, talk together!

Books Can Teach Children About Healthy Foods and Good Eating Habits
